Important SSH Housing Dates for Fall Semester 2026

Planning to study in Groningen in Fall 2026? Then securing your housing should be at the top of your to-do list. SSH (Stichting Studenten Huisvesting) offers furnished short-stay rooms for international students — but these rooms are limited and sell out fast.

To help you stay ahead, here are the official registration and booking dates for both the University of Groningen (UG) and Hanze University of Applied Sciences (Hanze UAS).

For UG students, the timeline is as follows:

• Registration opens: 9 April 2026 at 10:00 (Dutch time)
• Booking opens:  3 June 2026 at 10:00 (Dutch time)

Here are the confirmed dates for Hanze students:

• Registration opens: 8 April 2026 at 10:00 (Dutch time)
• Booking opens:  11 May 2026 at 10:00 (Dutch time)
